This project has been something I’ve wanted to start for some time now, but never had the means by which to do it. Here, I simply want to explain the purpose of this project, why I’m doing it, and how it’s all gonna work.

1. What is the purpose of writing articles? Arent there enough sites offering the same thing?

Now this is a question that I have even wondered about myself, why does the world need another website offering articles like these? For one, I have yet to find another website doing what I am doing here, there are plenty of websites offering articles, but not in the way I am. The setup I am using is unique as far as I know, I’m sure there are other sites doing something similar but I have yet to encounter them. Secondly, while there are other websites offering articles, the far majority of them are laden with heresy.
I hope in these articles to do much the same thing as the podcast itself, to teach God’s truth, call out false teachings, and reach a lost and dying world. The Bible is clear that we are to know why we believe what we believe, but it goes even further, God actually tells us that we should be prepared to defend what we believe. Part of the purpose of these articles is to be a resource for Christians to use when faced with questions they can’t answer. Nobody can remember every Bible verse and every argument for every belief they hold, which is why these articles can be so helpful. You can simply open this website and find the answer you’re looking for.

1 Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:

The Bible tells us to be ready to answer anyone when they ask us about our faith, but in order to do that you have to know yourself what you believe and why. It is my prayer that these articles can help with this, to show what the Bible actually says about these different subjects, so the Christian who doesn’t know can have easy access to what the Bible says.

2. God’s Word as the final authority.

This is the most important thing you must know about these articles. They are not perfect, they are written by a man and are just as susceptible to error as anyone else’s writings. The Bible is our final authority and everything I write in these articles must be viewed through the lens of Scripture.

The intent of these articles is to be biblical in everything I write. Each and every article is the result of my own personal prayer and study of God’s Word. This is because I strive in these articles as in the podcast to deal with every subject, and answer every question honestly and according to God’s Word.

3. The Articles setup

As I mentioned earlier this website uses a unique (as far as I know) set up for the articles that work quite well for multiple reasons. The main page displays all of the categories I am writing about, and once you click one you will find that it’s set up differently than most others. Many of the categories will have a series of introductory articles at the top, and then more general Q&A-style articles at the bottom. This is for a very critical reason. Many people have questions about subjects like Bible translations or Mormonism, but without having at least a minor introduction to subjects like those it’s difficult to answer them. So, every subject that requires an introduction will have it, so if you don’t know much about Bible translations for example, you can read the ten introduction articles. This will give you a solid foundation on the subject and make the Q&A articles much easier to understand and much more helpful.

4. My doctrinal stand.

This site holds to several things that will be reflected in every article or resource found in the CrossWalk Library. That the King James Bible is Gods perfect preserved Word, and that modern versions are corrupt. That Jesus Christ lived a perfect sinless life, died on the cross and rose again three days later. That salvation is by grace through faith, separate from works, and that this salvation is available to any who believes. These are some of the basic, foundational things this site will be based upon, and I hope to be able to demonstrate why I believe these things through the articles you will find here.

In closing, I would just like to remind you that the views I express in these articles will not be exactly the same as my co-host Riley believes. In the podcast we have discussed that we disagree on some minor issues, so just keep that in mind. Also, if you are curious about any subjects or have any questions you would like to see answered you can email me at thecrosswalkpodcast23@gmail.com, or by clicking the Contact Us page at the top of the screen. I love hearing from you guys and appreciate any feedback you have, whether you have an article for me to write, some encouragement, or you feel I was wrong about something.

Whether you’re looking for a short introduction to a subject, in-depth articles on questions about apologetics or other religions, or maybe just curious about a question you have, it is my prayer that the CrossWalk Library can be a blessing to you.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support for the CrossWalk podcast, and now the new CrossWalk Library!

Stay in God’s Word and always walk after the cross!
